VSMT the Virtual Server Management Tool

Examining information about your WWW server with VSMT:

Your WWW server is set up to log all transactions to disk files. These log files contain useful information about who is accessing your site and what information they are looking at. With the selections on this menu you can examine the log files directly. (Note: This function will not work if you have manually changed your WWW server logs or log format from the default)

Access log records access information to your server such as the date, time, and identity of whoever is accessing the server.

Error log records all html and cgi errors encountered by the server. This is particularly useful for debugging CGI scripts.

There is a large amount of information in these files that can be difficult to analyze. The graphical WWW-statistics analyzer is useful for condensing the raw data in the log files into an easily understood bar chart form.
